The Spirit to Pray

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.  – Ephesians 6:18 NLT

Where is the Spirit to pray? When folk ask for us to pray for them we should either pray with them right there or pray immediately when we have a quiet moment.  The point I am making is that we must be instant like the Spirit of God is on our behalf.  Pray now pray often, and pray in His Spirit.  It is not time to be selfish and dismissive when someone is in a situation where prayer is evidently needed.  How dwells the love of God in you and I if we shut our bowels of compassion?  Prayer is our secret weapon against the enemy.  There is only the Word of God that is left other than praying in the Holy Spirit that can drive the enemy away.  Constant communication with the Savior through righteous living and working in the vineyard of God helps us in our connection with the Lord through the Holy Spirit.  Through those works He will come upon you and you shall receive power.  Prayer is not effectual without the Holy Spirit to send it through the line.  You have to have a satellite connection, so to speak, to boost your signal around the world which is with the Holy Spirit.  He makes sure we are heard by God and makes our request clear to understand.  Christ doesn’t have a hard time comprehending our prayers but it is our anguish that makes some communication hard to say what it is we are truly asking in prayer.
