Taking Your Punishment

King James 2000 Bible
But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more

St. Lk. 12. 48

If I’m guilty, I might as well go ahead and turn myself in. Instead of trying to get away with doing wrong. A motto for our ministry is, Where Eagles Soar, God Expect More. What that means to me is, that we aren’t allowed to just get away with doing wrong to others, as well as to our God. We must be correct in how we present our lives to our Father in Heaven.

You’ve got greater potential, if you would apply what you have been given by God to do.

When we are disobedient, then we loose the open opportunities that God has ordered for our steps to follow. Not going the way the Lord marked means we have to take the punishment that comes through disobedience, because we didn’t listen to the Lord’s instructions the first time around.

We could avoid such headaches if we stop, look, and listen to the Spirit of the Lord.

God expects so much more from you and I. We aren’t given the go ahead to just be whatever, or whoever we choose. We must be the child of the Lord be are men and before the Father more so.

This Scripture tells us that there are those who do not know they have stepped across the line with the Father, and they still have to deal with small punishment, but then there are those who know they know better, and they have to deal with the heavy discipline that the Lord must give them.

Take your punishment, if you know you did something that warrants discipline. Do not stand up and talk back to the Spirit, and not expect to be chatised. Chastisement is for the loved of God. Be concerned of the Lord doesn’t send your punishment for something you know you have done.

Be cery concerned if the God of all Creation let’s you escape without a pop on the head.

Even though we know the Scripture says that the Lord loves the world that He gave His only begotten Son for the sins of the world. All He longa for us to do is believe in Jesus. Receive the Savior unto ourselves as Lord and King, and we will have salvation.
