When Do We Fight?

When Do We Fight?

Or, have we started behind me?

Bishop

Dr. Michael Craddock Sr.

(Sermon)

The Scripture says that we are to fight the good fight of faith.

I am wondering, when did the fighting began, because there is things going on behind the front lines that should be done to the enemy.

When we attack family and let the enemy get away with doing wrong. That is a sign of a traitor among us.

Matt. 13 25

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

We cannot continue to stab each other in the back as we face forward in expectancy of the enemy.

We should not judge each other’s mistakes as if ours have never existed.

If you knew that your brother was sabotaging your steps, what else could you do but abandon that fellowship?

We need one another to stand together in the battle for winning souls to the Lord.

But, we have turned our allegiance to God and killed each other on the battlefield.

1 Pet. 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

The question I’m asking is, did he get you?

Because we should never betray the trust of those in whom we care for.

Let me say this, if it was what we did in the past, whether the past was yesterday.

Let us fix the broken fences.

Mend the broken hearts of distrust among the believing body.

I have to trust you with my life too.

Even though I have taken the responsibility to see after your souls on earth as an Angel assigned to you like in the book of Revelations speaking to the 7 churches of Asia Minor.

I have your souls best interest at heart.

I cannot lose you to backslashes of miscommunication and distrust in leaderships ability to stick to the book.

We have come a long way in our walk together.

I have erred in decisions and have done some things right by my service to the congregation.

Yet, I can not lead with strife and envy among us.

I cannot help us to fix our eyes on Christ, if we do as the disciples did at one point.

They didn’t work together, they begin to bicker and murmur about what was being done and they didn’t have the vision that the Lord was instilling within them.

I wonder, do any of you who are with us truly know what we are going for in the future of the ministry?

Do you know our vision?

Have you focused on what you should be doing to build a better and stronger future for our youth, and for the elders who are with us.

Not to mention the elders we will all become?

We Do Not have the time to turn on each other.

God will not bless a mess.

Present this Temple as Holy into God which is our reasonable service.

Not just your bodies, but your minds and this sanctuary we have built for the Lord’s pleasure.

When did we start fighting for the faith, or have we started behind me, in the trenches arguing about enough space for everyone to be comfortable.

I ask you my brothers and sisters.

Was our Lord always comfortable?

Traveling on foot with men who have a heart but not the patience.

Dealing with the eyes of the enemy who assumes he is sleeping with Mary Magdalene.

They see girlfriends and tax accountants and doctors along with fishermen and others who seemed fishy.

Did He have the comfort of sitting pretty and coming to a place with His name on it weekly? No.

Why fight over someone else’s issues?

Why argue because you do not understand what God is doing through another person’s personal struggles?

I had a children out of wedlock.

How can I point do get a at anyone else and say anything that would degrade another’s hopes.

When did the fight begin again?

It did start in the very garden as soon as Adam bit in, we started fighting for our cause of forgiveness, for our desire to live happy lives.

We started fighting for true love, only to be constantly stabbed in the back. We started fighting for freedom from our sins. The devil will not allow you to be free.

So I tell you now.

Be ready to fight right after this message from our sponsors.

Let’s pray…
