The Pleasure Is All Mine

The Pleasures All Mine.

Why do we take pleasures.

Bishop Michael Craddock Sr.

Sermon 05.20. 2017

Gods pressing us to break up the fallow ground in us that the Lord may cause us to be able to reap of the Harvest.

Good ground first means that we do not play on the land to make it hardened against us even more.

Eccl. 2:8 (7-11)

7 I got me servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me: note

8 I gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces: I gat me men singers and women singers, and the delights of the sons of men, as musical instruments, and that of all sorts. note

9 So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me.

10 And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour.

11 Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.

We make the ground hard against us even more because of our need to be pleased.

Instead of using the ground for good. It has been trampled upon packing the top soil compacting it making it hard to pierce.

Pleasuring oneself only and for a long period of time.

Can cause the mind to be packed where the piercing Word has to break the topsoil to finally get in the needed seed and water to bring about goodness out of a life.

When you have more than you can do anything with, then where is a true need for God?

Seeking our pleasure is a sickness and disease to our body and mind. Pleasure seekers hurt their process of good clear thinking because we are focused upon ourselves and not our purpose for life.

To be trapped in one’s own mind and not find a way to escape it. It is a labyrinth in itself. The mind plays images like the television. It envisions you doing what you are not supposed to. It traps you in the fantasies of false living. Because it is only in your thought process.

2 tim. 2:22

So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the. Lord from a pure heart.

Seek to please God over self.

When we are young, I can understand that we haven’t thought out all avenues before we start imagining where our lives can end up.

We hold a desire to be great and to be accomplished.

Most of us are sidetracked by our innermost desires.

Prov. 21:17

16. A man who wanders from the way of understanding Will rest in the assembly of the dead.

17. He who loves pleasure will become a poor man; He who loves wine and oil will not become rich.

18. The wicked is a ransom for the righteous, And the treacherous is in the place of the upright.…

When we let ourselves go. We need to pull back from things that draw our sensual desires.

Things that put us in a weird mood. Makes you feel a certain way that is satisfying to your eroticism.

We must put these emotions and feelings in perspective. Food should not move our erotic desire.

This message second title is actually.

The sensuality over spirituality.

When we are more sensual and sexual over being Spiritual and righteous.

We must control these physical urges, and place them under scrutiny.

That is not allow these feelings to escape the sanctity of our allowed places.

Marriage is the only place where sensuality and sexuality is truly Spiritual.

Closing Scripture:

11. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

12. “Everything is permissible for me,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything.

13. “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food,” but God will destroy them both. The body is not intended for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.…

1 Cor. 6:11-13

You have the right by the permissions of the Lord to choose your fate.

God will not force us to walk upright before Him.

Many people already know this about the Lord.

That is why they do not sweat it when they fail at walking right.

Sure we do not want the enemy to assume he can cause us to be discouraged in any way.

Just because we fall, we do not have to stay in that place or mindset.

You have power to get out of the place immediately and stand up right in repented center unto the Lord your God.

You and I have achieved such greatness through our confession.

But, do not lose what you said you stand on.

You are in the powerful position. You can repent and carry on.

Those who are not of the faith, cannot.
