The Power Belongs to God.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.

— II Corinthians 4:7 ESV

We have no power without the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Many who walk around using the gifts and anointing know that the power belongs to God.  We cannot use something that doesn’t come from us.  The only power we have is the ability to persuade and convince others to go the opposite of what is in their minds to do.  We hope we use this influence for good.  The investment that God has placed in us, is His Spirit.  This is our treasure, this is what makes us worth a hill of beans if you will..

I do not ever claim to have the power of God for my personal use,  but I walk in the Authority of the Power of the Holy Ghost to acconplish what His goals are for me each day.

We are rich in power and might through God our King.  We can move mountains and do exploits in His name.  We can pardon others through His name and give them hope for a brother day all in the name of Jesus Christ.

The treasure laid up in us can be accessed through faith in God.  Without faith it is impossible to please God.  We can do nothing without His Ok in the Spirit.  Ephesians list of Callings and Assignments for what we have coined the five fold ministry, is in place for the perfecting of the church.  He gave us power to perfect the body of Christ.  Perfect is as simple as, teaching and preaching such strong faith and showing others how to do it accordingly.  Perfecting is putting it to good use and removing the blemishes of lies and deceit.  Perfecting is a scalpel used to cut out disease and the ability to mend the wounds, but Christ has the power to remove the clear tissue.
