The Things People Say.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

— Matthew 5:10-12 NIV

Sure you and I could agree on this one, but really are we persecuted because of Christ, or our opinion?  We make people mad because, we say things that are not agreeable to most. Yet, are those things i’m saying the Word of Truth, or my observations that bring judgement? I have to re-evaluate what I am saying to make sure the truth is whats revealed and not my knowledge of a particular subject that eat at a persons soul.  I probably do not want anyone to decipher my coded messages and reveal my wrong doings.  In fact I am certain I would not want to be exposed to anyone of stuff I still do not have under subjection.   This Scripture is saying we are blessed when people false accuse us of wrong doings and persecute us based upon that assumption.  That is embarrassing when people get it wrong.  When you are not apart of what they have assumed of you.  Persecution though, for Christ sake.  Is when you are hitting the head on the nail and they donot want to hear from you. So, they claim no judgment status.  That saying of do not judge lest you be judged.  People say that as a cover for what was exposed.  The Pharisees and Scribes persecuted our Lord because He was doing the work they were called to with more efficiency.   They sought to hurt Him physically because of what He did and exposed of them.  Many might choose to harm you in a physical manner, but most play the game of the mind.  They use social networks to destroy you.  They now inbox about you.  They influence the young with the lie that was conjured up about you.  They keep hate alive.
