What The Gentiles Seek

Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

— Matthew 6:31-33 ESV

Don’t be a gentile in your actions to seek signs and wonders.   To doubt before belief.  Just be a son/daughter who trusts the Creator’s plans to help you succeed.  He will not let you down.  He can lift you higher then those who have taken the leadership role in your community.   He can cause you to calm the calamities of the restless hearts that sit around you.  Just remember not to insight riotous rebellion in your doings.  We must get out of this worlds business, and find oirselves a deeper place in the Lords business.  Seeking the Lord first is a priority of all who are in the service of the King.  What is He adding unto us who seek, knock and ask of Him? A place to live.  Clothes to wear and something to eat everyday.  Not just part time, but in a full time status.  People are confident in remaining in their gentile state of mind.  It is said that you cant take the ghetto out of those who are from it.  Yet, this is exactly what the Lord has done for us all.  Retrieving us from the slums of life.  We limit ourselves by seeking materialistic wealth.  The Lord has made sure that we are cared for in this life.  He has also prepared a place for us in the life to come.  If we walk by faith and not by sight.  We stop filling up our minds with thoughts of things to possess.  He knows wjat you have need of and is willing to supply it the second you and I seek the Lord and ask Him earnestly.  Gentile mentality is surrounded with things that people do not have that makes us cry out for it in desperation.   It is ok to asknfor what you want, but to walk in underlying greed and not be aware of it, is what we need to avoid.  Underlying greed is our childlike jealousy thay still lingers from our youth.  Everytime someone got something new and we saw it, we wanted it too.  Children cry for others things to pressure their parents into getting what they want.  That is the way a child knows how to manipulate their parents.   Sone parent give in, which doesn’t teach that child to earn for him or her self. Truth be told. Do we actually need what we see others with?  People want things and then once they have it, they regret crying out for it.  We must not be envious of what someone else has and then once we have it, we see the issues that come along with having to keep it up.

Israel wanted a king over their country just like the other regions around them.  Once they have the king they wanted, thats when the trouble begins.
