Remember this: The one who plants few seeds will have a small harvest. But the one who plants a lot will have a big harvest. Each one of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You should not give if it makes you unhappy or if you feel forced to give. God loves those who are happy to give. And God can give you more blessings than you need, and you will always have plenty of everything. You will have enough to give to every good work.
You give how much you want to receive. The more free you and I are in giving, the we can expect in our harvest. This Scripture is so poignant in todays society. Because, people have stopped givi g to true Spiritual causes. They plant in various streams of situatiins. Some feel it is Ok to raise money for services that abort the fetus. Some invest all their efforts in false beliefs. We plant in good soil, that is taken care of by those who have tended the field. I appreciate many of those me and women of God who say we are not going to take long raising money over praising God in our services. It hurts when there are those who pressure you into giving more, because they envisioned a particular offering for that service. I go to a lot of churches through out the year and I see the faces of the people who long to please God with everything they have. Even their money. But, I have also seen those long faces who struggle with the church and money. There is truth on both sides of that coin. Yet, we all long for a harvest from the Lords vineyards. We dont mind planting when it is something we will gain in the end. But, when it comes to others whom we feel doesnt deserve to gather from what we have planted, it is more difficult to see it in the right light.
If we give, God will give us more. The more we have an open hand , the more He pours out of His riches that are beyond comprehension. It is not always about money. It is about health and wellness all around. Not just about how much we can have and gather in. A farmer not only plants for his/her family, but also for business sake. They plant expecting a big harvest. Anyone who sprinkles a few seeds around doesn’t want a harvest that is plentiful. Those people should not be in the farming business if they cannot estimate the proper amount to plant to receive the harvest they expect. As a farmer you know your land and how it works when it comes to planting the right seed in the right soil and it must be at right timing of the season. When you come to A House of God. You give into the Grand Harvest that comes from all over. That is why the Word tells us where ever we set our foot is ours to claim, because we have acces to much more than what we deserve. This comes to us through Christ and no other takes His place.
