The Wicked on The Run

The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.
Proverbs 28:1 NLT

People are running like chickens with their heads cut off.  This world is unstable and if we have pleasure in it then we are just as unstable as they are.  We are not to be afraid of the terror by night, nor pestilence by day, if we are full of hope in the Master’s plan for our lives.  Running with the bulls is not a thrill for me though others may say that you haven’t lived until you experience that at least once in your life.  The problem with running scared is that you make wrong turns.  We can always tell the kind people who are on the run but have no real place to be.  They are the ones who end up back tracking in their lives.  They have to reinvent themselves as some marketing tool of sort just so that the people will not forget their name.  If we are so easily forgotten, then we really didn’t mean a thing when we met them.  People recognize you when you don’t even know their names.  With that recognition comes the responsibility to live right.  I may not know who all knows me, from where ever I have been, so I tread carefully so I don’t harm the innocent.  People on the run do not care who thy run over when they are in hot pursuit of success.  Working to the bone, tiring themselves out in the “rat race” as everyone calls it.  God says that the righteous are as bold as lions, untouchable by desperation.  Lions sit until the meal comes by their way.  They don’t waste energy chasing empty promises, that is a sign of those who trust in self and not God.  If I’m going to end up running, it will be to my place in Glory and not a soup line.  Nothing wrong with it but I’m trusting God for provisions made.
