Be Satisfied

Keep your lives free from the love of money. And be satisfied with what you have. God has said, “I will never leave you; I will never run away from you.”   – Hebrews 13:5

Satisfaction is not always guaranteed.  If you are looking for satisfaction in your life you might have to search for it with diligence. This world will not let you be happy with Christ alone.  The joy of the Lord is my strength because the Lord is pleased with me.  Not because I have found security in the life I have set in motion.  No matter how it may feel or what it may look like, God has not left us.  We just need to refocus on Him.  We have to get ourselves back on track instead of fussing and cursing our way through life, as if that does us any good.  Money may answer many things but having a love for it over everything in life, is sinful.   It will be the roots of your tree if you allow money to feed your drive and desire towards success.  Money is a piece of paper. The only important paper we should place our trust in is the Word of the Lord which was written for our lives.  Satisfaction with life is to say “Thank You” to God for everything He has supplied you.  The ability to take care of your family, to have a life and to enjoy what you have worked towards in your life gives honor God.  If we walk around with hatred and anger in our hearts or discontentment we will go through life fighting hard for nothing and struggling for the bare minimum that we can gain.  This type of living is upsetting.  It seems we cannot win for fear of losing.  It is not that we have already failed ourselves but it is that we do not give ourselves a chance to at least attempt something great through Christ.  Don’t put trust in men to help you succeed, most are out for themselves and do not care to esteem each other as the Word of God says to.  Yet I find, that if I lift up my brother and sister in support as much as I possibly can, it will come back to bless me in my time of need.  To be content and satisfied with what you have means to take care of it as if it is all you have been given because you do not know if the Lord will increase your borders on earth simply because of good stewardship.  God rewards those who work in His fields no matter what time you start your shift.  You still get your equal share of the rewards of good labor.  So smile even when you feel like crying.  Look up when your head is heaviest and sing when your heart is full of sadness.  You will see the outcome of your positive outlook in your reward.
